Gas meters must comply with the Measurement and Calibration Act. To test and ensure this, the RMA company has developed an H2 loop test track, with the help of which gas meters of different sizes can be tested and calibrated. And how everything works on the high-pressure test bench should be shown and explained in a 3D explanatory video.

The explanatory video starts with an overall view of the H2 Loop system and the most important parameters and properties of the production plant. The gas flow is then shown in 3D animation. The gas first flows through a reference section with a reference meter and then through the gas meter to be tested. Driven by a high-performance blower that continuously maintains the gas flow.

Representing gas flowing through a metal pipe is a little difficult in reality. However, explaining this in 3D is quite easy. In 3D, transparent gases can be colored and metal pipes can quickly be made "glassy".
In the explanatory video, the gas flows as red lines and bubbles through the pipes in the various areas. In order to be able to see inside the pipes, the pipes were shown transparent in places.

The production plant was provided by the customer as a CAD model. However, the 3D model did not include a gas feed. The 3D model was therefore incomplete.
Together with the customer, the idea was developed to model several bundles of gas bottles and add them to the CAD model. To do this, a 3D model of a fully modeled gas bottle was purchased and connected to the gas supply line using self-modeled pipes and connectors. Missing 3D models can be quickly expanded.

During the production process, the customer decided that the displayed text should be supplemented with a spoken text by a speaker. The Animations-Maschine took over the complete handling and implementation.
A professional speaker was selected, suggested to the customer and finally commissioned. After the text had been recorded, this audio recording was added to the video during video editing and precisely timed to match the animation.

Second language variant - multilingualism
At first, the explanatory video was only created in English. But shortly before the project was completed, the customer decided to create the entire video in German as well.
No sooner said than done! A second video version was created. The displayed texts were replaced and the voice recording was recorded by a second, this time German-speaking speaker and integrated into the animation video.
